Safeguarding

Edenderry Parish, in association with the Diocese of Kildare and Leighlin, is committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all children and young people who participate in parish life.

We value and encourage the participation of children and young people in liturgy, sacramental preparation, and parish activities that support their faith and personal development.

All those who work with children and young people in the parish have a special duty of care towards them. For this reason, our parish follows safeguarding procedures and practices that ensure the safety, dignity, and wellbeing of every child and young person involved in parish activities.

Edenderry Parish fully supports the safeguarding policies and guidelines of the Diocese of Kildare and Leighlin and works in partnership with all statutory authorities responsible for the protection and welfare of children.
